Dorothy Doring is a crossover artist who’s equally at home with contemporary pop to classic standards having experience in everything from country to rock, to blues and jazz.
Southern Exposure: This special CD was recorded in 2004-2005 in New Orleans with pianist, arranger and producer David Torkanowsky and internationally released in 2008.
About Time: 1999 self-produced debut album features Billy Holloman on B3 Hammond organ, Donald Thomas on drums and Loren Walstad on guitar. Nominated for Minnesota Music Award.
Dorothy grew up singing in her hometown of Montevideo, Minnesota. Doring earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Vocal Music from Moorhead State University and a Master of Arts Degree in Education from Saint Mary's University. Based in the Twin Cities, Doring free lances with numerous musical groups and balances her gigging performances with her full-time position as a Vocal Music Specialist for the Saint Paul Public Schools.
